I went to a wonderful concert on 2 April, the Nash Ensemble's tribute to Dutilleux. There were fantastic performances of the string quartet Ainsi la nuit and of Mystère de l'instant in a version for 18 strings, percussion and cimbalom that reached at the end a pitch of higher intensity than anything I think I've ever experienced.
